An EB-5 investment is an investment in a private placement of securities created specifically for applicants for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) permanent worker visa preference number five (“EB-5 Program”) and are speculative investments that involve a high degree of risk. Investors must be prepared to bear the economic risk of such an illiquid investment over a long period of time and be able to withstand a total loss of their investment. There is no guarantee that an investor’s EB-5 application will be approved by USCIS.

Through the EB-5 select website, information is provided on investment projects throughout the United States that are offered pursuant to the EB-5 program administered by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under a program initially enacted as a pilot in 1992, and periodically reauthorized since then, investors are also eligible for EB-5 classification by investing through USCIS-designated regional centers based on proposals to promote economic growth.
